Banko Chelchele is located in the Gedeo Zone, Gedebe District, about 447 km from Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. Gedebe is blessed with high altitude, which contributes as one of the elements that helps this area producing high quality coffee.
This lot of coffee was produced by a single farmer, which is rare in Ethiopia. The producer, Mr. Bekele Kurse, owns a 14.6 ha farm where he lives with his wife and 10 children. At their high and breezy drying field, Mr. Bekele processes his farm's cherries exclusively as a high quality natural process coffee.
